TESTIMONIALS

Mel has been absolutely incredible with our dogs. We first started working with her in weekly training sessions for our territorial and people-reactive Tibetan Mastiff, Cannoli. Prior to working with Mel, we were unable to invite friends and family into our home due to Cannoli's behavior. Mel knew exactly how to work with such a guarded and apprehensive dog and did an outstanding job of meeting Cannoli at her level. She helped Cannoli learn basic obedience and muzzle training, as well as skills to manage her behavior when guests come over. Mel knew exactly how to handle a very large and people-reactive dog in a way that kept everyone safe. She now does in-home dog sitting when we travel, which is something we never dreamed would have been possible! I would 100% recommend Mel to any dog owner, and especially for anyone who has dogs with behavioral concerns.

LISA MCNAMEE

For several months I brought my dog to Mel for private lessons once a week. It was clear from the get go that she has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to training dogs and that she trains dogs based on the dog. I started taking my puppy to Mel when she was about 6 months old to work on confidence, leash behavior, recall and maintaining place. Along the way Mel made a point to explain to me what she was teaching my dog and why so that at home we could continue to practice. She stressed to me to not be afraid to ask questions during our training sessions and even after. She truly has a heart for dogs and wants them to succeed in their training for life, not just during the time she has with them. I could not have asked for a better trainer to help my dog be the best she can be. I also couldn't have asked for a better teacher to help me know how to maintain the skills she has taught my dog.
